Adithya (Adi) Vikram Sambamurthy was born in India and grew up in Germany. After high school, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated in December 2003 with a degree in photojournalism with a minor in radio/TV/film. He has interned as a photojournalist with the Neue Ruhr Zeitung in Essen, Germany; the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer in Georgia and the Patuxent Publishing Company in Maryland, as well as working at The Daily Texan, UT's college daily, as a photographer and as a picture editor over three years. Aside from photojournalism, he enjoys making narrative and documentary short films. Adithya hopes to one day work as a visual journalist covering the issues that face the communities of South Asia, the European Union and the North American continent. |
