There was a one-hour weigh-in time limit from 4 to 5 p.m. during the Old Salt Ladies Fishing Tournament. The fish could be transported to the weigh-in by boat or car as long as the angler was in line before 5 p.m. There were 138 women who fished in the charity event. |

Louisa Conklin, from team Blue Runner, won first place in the grouper category with a 26.5 pounds fish. Many women fished as a team, but the tournament prizes were awarded per angler. |

"It's a purple ticket, do you have it?" said Denise Anderson to Jim Hathcock. Hathcock searched through the raffle tickets for the number that was called by Old Salt board member Ray Markham but did not have the winning ticket. Carol Hathcock later won a Bait Masters gift package from the event. |

Many fishers launched their boats from the Bay Pines marina in the War Veterans Memorial Park on Tyrone Boulevard. Some anglers chose to launch the night before to be on the water for the midnight starting time. Those who opted to start fishing at midnight strategically planned to fish offshore then inshore to catch all eight species. |
