Stephen Crews, 43, has been driving the Suncoast Beach trolley for three-and-a-half years. Crews' hobbies are water-skiing, wakeboarding and recreational handguns.

Simon Limbus, from England, has trouble inserting his crinkled five-dollar bill at the trolley stop in front of Dolphin Village.

Robert Rushing boards Stephen Crews' beach trolley at the Indian Rocks Beach stop Sunday.

In the interior of the trolley, two signs are posted that say, "Avoid unnecessary conversation with driver," but Crews overlooks them.

Stephen Crews occasionally makes light-hearted jokes with the passengers of the trolley––giving him the nickname "joker" by his co-workers. Paul Arthur, one of Crews regular beach trolley riders, was dropped off at Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach.

"You don't want to be mean and nasty to the bus driver," said Suncoast Beach trolley driver Stephen Crews. Crews once talked to three young ladies because of their excessive inappropriate language. He said, "I'm not going to let grandmothers and children hear that." One girl thanked him as she exited.
