I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but have spent most of my life in Massachusetts. I attended the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, where I received my B.F.A. in photography. Originally I was a painting major but switched to photography around my junior year. By the end of college my primary interest was documentary photography and I ended up going to graduate school at the University of Texas where I'm currently studying photojournalism. My primary goal after attending the Poynter fellowship is to be able to work as a photojournalist for a newspaper or other publication. |
